Awards for Excellence in Editorship

Hindawi is pleased to announce its “Awards for Excellence in Editorship.” Three awards will be given to the Guest Editor teams whose distinguished editorial work leads to the publication of highly successful Special Issues in Hindawi journals. The three awards for 2008 will be given as follows.

One award will be given to the Guest Editors of the Special Issue published in 2008 that has been best received by the members of the scientific community, as measured by the number of manuscripts submitted for possible publication in the Special Issue.

A second award will be given to the Guest Editors of the Special Issue published in 2008 that has the most prestigious authorship, as measured by the average h-index of all contributors to the Special Issue.

A third award will be given to the Guest Editors of the Special Issue published in 2006–2008 that has the highest impact as measured by the total number of citations it received from its initial publication until the end of 2008.

The awards carry a number of benefits including higher visibility in the scientific community for the Guest Editors and the topic of the Special Issue, perpetual award recognition on the publisher's website, as well as a monetary prize of US$10,000 for each of the three awarded Guest Editor teams.
