Comparative expression profile of osteogenic differentiation markers of BMSCs in osteoporotic mice. Effect of DSW on osteogenic mRNA expression in specific genes including bone morphogenetic protein 2 (BMP2), runt-related transcription factor 2 (RUNX2), Osteopontin (OPN) and Osteocalcin (OCN) of BMSCs was quantitatively measured ((a), right/left panel). The maturation of osteogenic differentiation was then examined by Alizarin Red S staining (b), and more calcium nodules were formed in DSW group.
