Effects of Moutan Cortex on creatinine and BUN production. All mice received a single dose of cisplatin intraperitoneally (30 mg/kg body wt). Serum creatinine (a) and BUN (b) were measured at 48 h after cisplatin injection. Saline: saline alone; Cis: cisplatin alone; Cis + Moutan Cortex: Moutan Cortex pretreatment and cisplatin treatment.
