Inhibition of Neuroinflammation in LPS-Activated Microglia by Cryptolepine

Cryptolepine (CAS) reduced TNFα, IL-6, and IL-1β production in LPS-activated microglia. Cells were stimulated with LPS (100 ng/mL) in the presence or absence of CAS (2.5 and 5 μM) for 24 h. At the end of the incubation period, supernatants were collected for ELISA measurements. All values are expressed as mean ± SEM for 3 independent experiments. Data were analysed using one-way ANOVA for multiple comparison with post hoc Student Newman-Keuls test. * in comparison with LPS control.
