Inhibition of Neuroinflammation in LPS-Activated Microglia by Cryptolepine

Cryptolepine (CAS) inhibited p38 but not p42/44 or JNK MAPK in LPS-activated BV-2 microglia. Cells were stimulated with LPS (100 ng/mL) in the presence or absence of CAS (2.5 and 5 μM) for 30 min. Lysates from activated microglia were then analysed using sandwich ELISA for phospho-p38, phospho-42/44 and phospho-JNK. Data were analysed using one-way ANOVA for multiple comparisons with post hoc Student Newman-Keuls test. * in comparison with LPS control.
