Antiatopic Dermatitis Effect of Artemisia iwayomogi in Dust Mice Extract-Sensitized Nc/Nga Mice

A. iwayomogi (AI) extract reduced the plasma levels of histamine (a) and IgE (b) in D. farinae extract-sensitized Nc/Nga mice. AI (10 mg/mouse/day) and Protopic ointment (50 mg/mouse/day) were topically applied on the backs and ears once daily for 4 weeks. The concentrations of histamine and IgE were measured by ELISA methods (mean ± SEM, 𝑛=5), ^##𝑃<0.01 compared with the normal group, ^∗𝑃<0.05 compared with the D. farinae-induced control group.
