Traditional Herbal Medicine and Allergic Asthma
Description
Asthma is one of the most common chronic inflammatory airway diseases. The allergic immune responses in asthma arise from an imbalance of immune regulation, which might be affected by diets and dietary supplements. Traditional Chinese medicine herbs have been used in many medicines as well as in dietary supplements in Asia.
We invite authors to submit original research and review articles that will stimulate the continuing efforts to understand the mechanisms underlying herb medicine’s effects on immunomodulation. We are interested in that explore aspects of immunomodulatory effects of Chinese herb medicine in humans and also in animal models. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Recent developments in nutraceutical therapy in allergic asthma
- Identification of effective components of herb medicine on allergic asthma
- New cellular and animal models for screening antiasthmatic effects of traditional herb medicine
- Identifying mechanisms of traditional herb medicine on allergic asthma
- Clinical trials or animal experiments for antiasthmatic herb medicine
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/ecam/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/ecam/asthma/ according to the following timetable:
