Slices of -stacked confocal microscope images of an explanted AuNP scaffold at 1 month taken at (a) 15 m, (b) 33 m, and (c) 54 m relative distances within the sample. With each increasingly deeper slice, there appears to be less host tissue infiltration and bundles appear to be closer together.
