Thyroid Function and Growth Regulation under Normal and Abnormal Conditions

Description

Although the thyroid gland is a small organ the function of which is investigated at the molecular level by only a modest cohort of investigators around the world, it exerts a major control on the physiology of the whole body and it raises fundamental questions about molecular physiological processes. We invite authors to submit original research articles as well as review articles related to thyroid function and growth regulation under normal and abnormal conditions. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Mechanisms of TSH action
  • TSH receptor
  • Tyrosine kinase receptors
  • Control of thyroid function and growth
  • Thyroid specific gene expression
  • Paracrine and autocrine actions
  • Growth factors effects
  • Signaling cascades
  • Thyroid autoregulation
  • Thyroid growth under abnormal conditions

Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/jtr/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/ according to the following timetable:
