Expression of SART1 gene correlates with interferon treatment outcome. (a-b) SART1 expression in both liver (a) and blood (b) between IFN responder and nonresponders prior to Peg-IFN-α treatment was evaluated by immunohistochemical staining of liver (a) and qPCR (b). The intensity of positive staining in tissue sections was analyzed by integrated optical density (IOD) shown as histograms and is represented as means ± SD from three experiments performed in triplicate. Student’s -test (a) and Mann-Whitney -test (b) were used to determine the significance of the differences between these two groups, respectively, .
