Eco-friendly Lubrication in Machining
Description
Traditional industrial processes heavily rely on natural resources and non-renewable energy sources, and they also use a lot of energy. These activities also generate a large amount of hazardous waste, which endanger both human health and the environment. As a result, the industrial sector needs to find novel solutions and swiftly switch to new, environmentally friendly manufacturing techniques.
There are currently significant attempts being undertaken to create new manufacturing techniques with less of an environmental impact. The goal of the transition to green manufacturing has been pursued through a variety of measures, including the employment of novel eco-friendly cooling/lubrication strategies; altering and adjusting manufacturing schemes; and inventing new eco-friendly manufacturing techniques.
This Special Issue was established to concentrate on current issues with conventional manufacturing procedures, as well as their effects on the environment and public health. This Special Issue also intends to invite original research and review articles to analyze contemporary developments in environmentally friendly manufacturing technologies, identify and propose technological solutions to lessen the environmental effect, and offer a sustainability evaluation of manufacturing systems.
Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:
- Environmentally friendly manufacturing techniques
- Eco-friendly fluids
- Lubrication
- Contemporary developments in sustainable manufacturing
- Machining
- Cooling
- Metal cutting
