Infertility

Description

Infertility is acquiring a proportion of global epidemic. Reproductive health implies individual's right to reproduce and freedom to decide when and how often. The couples have a right to have children and right to access appropriate health care services that will enable them to achieve their goal. Infertility, however, continues to be a worldwide problem, affecting an estimated 60–80 million women and men worldwide, a vast majority of whom live in resource poor countries. Infertility may not be a threat to physical health but carries with it extremely adverse social and psychological implications for all concerned but particularly in developing countries. Since it is accepted that individuals cannot achieve health in general and reproductive health in particular without the alleviation of infertility, there is an ever-increasing need and urgency to develop simple, low-cost, and effective instruments for evaluation, treatment, and prevention of infertility, which can be applied universally but especially in resource poor countries. The journal will be publishing peer-reviewed original research papers, and review articles. We particularly take interest in manuscripts related to epidemiology and management of infertility with special emphasis on infertility problems in developing countries. Reviews that summarize the investigative approach or results of clinical trial are also welcome. This journal would serve as a platform for sharing the knowledge to a wider perspective. It will cover all aspects of human reproduction. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Andrology
  • Assisted conception
  • Cytogenetics
  • Preimplantation genetic diagnosis
  • Epidemiology of infertility
  • Infertility-related ethical, legal, and social issues

Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/ogi/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/ according to the following timetable:
