Gender Dysphoria: The Role of Sex Reassignment Surgery

Description

We invite investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review articles that will stimulate the continuing efforts to understand the role of sex reassignment surgery, the modalities of the surgical treatment, and the evaluation of the outcomes. We are particularly interested in articles describing the new operative procedures, the modifications of old ones, the modalities of postoperative followup, the role of hormonal support, and the recommendations for the future. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Male to female surgery: techniques and outcomes
  • Female to male surgery: techniques and outcomes
  • Pitfalls in transsexual surgery
  • Psychosexual and psychosocial aspects after sex reassignment surgery
  • Role of hormonal therapy in the postoperative treatment of transgenders
