Advanced Biomaterials and Technologies in Implantology
Description
The variety of implant devices has been available because modifications in design or materials will enable superior performance of the implant. Events leading to integration of an implant into bone, and hence determining the performance of a device, take place largely at the tissue and implant interface. These include not only implant-related factors, such as material shape, topography, and surface chemistry, but mechanical loading, surgical techniques, and host immunity as well. We invite the investigators to submit comprehensive review articles or full research articles to contribute better understanding and solution involved in the current implant dentistry. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Novel surface modification methods in dental implants
- Molecular and biological responses on implant surfaces
- Multiscale analyzing and characterization techniques
- Computational modeling and simulation of tissue-material interface
- Implant prosthetic design
- Microimplant anchorage in orthodontics
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/ijbm/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/ according to the following timetable:
